Join AZAALAS for the 2021 Family Fun Event at Butterfly Wonderland in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Butterfly Wonderland is home to the Friendliest Butterflies.

  • The Conservatory is a rainforest paradise filled with thousands of butterflies that have traveled (via express post) from all over the world to greet our guests each day. Watch as up to 70 different species meet for the first time, sip nectar from beautiful flowers, bask in the brilliant Arizona sunshine, and dance the day away. Our tropical paradise is also home to dozens of colorful Koi fish, some tiny tropical finches, and two amusing chickens.
  • Butterfly Emergence Gallery - Feast your eyes on the largest emergence gallery in the country. You’ll be inches away from live chrysalis as they emerge naturally into beautiful butterflies and fly freely in the Conservatory.
  • 3D Theater - The butterflies will be jumping off the screen in our 3D theater! Come learn all about the life of a butterfly and what makes them so fascinating with our featured short-film, “Flight of the Butterflies.”
  • Rainforest Reptile Exhibit - Introducing our newest experience where visitors can get up close and personal with the reptiles and amphibians that coexist with butterflies in the rainforest.
  • Honey Bee Extravaganza - Honeybees are the hardest working animals on earth! Observe foraging honeybees all a-buzz with activity as they go about their daily chores. These girls spend their days collecting nectar and pollen from the native desert plants and gardens all around Scottsdale.
  • Spineless Giants - Meet some of our world’s largest arthropods! From moths and butterflies to millipedes and walking sticks. Many of our insect friends have changed very little (except for their size) since prehistoric times.
  • Edible Insects Station - Learn about “entomophagy”– the practice of eating insects. Some of the tasty insect treats include chips made with cricket protein, chocolate covered ants, coconut brittle mealworms, and scorpion lollipops.
  • Tropical Waters of the World - Discover underwater treasures from the tropical oceans, rivers, and lakes.
  • Butterfly Treasures Gift Shop - Commemorate your visit to Butterfly Wonderland with a special keepsake from our wide selection of books, souvenirs, apparel, jewelry and that one-of-a-kind gift for nature lovers. No entry into Butterfly Wonderland is required to purchase. Open to the public.
  • Café - After your journey through the rainforest, take a relaxing break in our Butterfly Wonderland Café and enjoy a sweet or savory snack and beverage. To ensure the health and safety of our exhibit, we do not permit outside food to be consumed in the building.
  • PAL Place - Butterfly Wonderland is proud to be an officially designated Pal Place, which means we’ve taking steps to be more inclusive for guests with autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities. By partnering with Pal, thanks to The Butterfly Wonderland Foundation, we created a video social story so you can see what to expect, insider tips and a sensory scale to help you plan your visit while you’re at Butterfly Wonderland.

Register for this event by November 5th at 5pm.

Cost:  Adult guests $21.95, kids (2-12 years) $14.95 - Military and students (with valid ID): $19.95
