Join the branch and bring your family to our Fall Fun Event at the Casa Grande Ruins for a tour, movie and then join fellow branch members for an included picnic in the nearby park.
The tour on the history of the site explained by a docent. Review the history of the Ancient Pueblo Peoples who inhabited this area in large numbers while participating in a sophisticated culture that included extensive irrigation and farming, ball courts, and a multi-story building.
A museum on site displays a depiction of what the ancient village might have looked like. The museum also contains artifacts and takes visitors through various aspects of the culture. Expect to spend 1-2 hours here to participate in the guided tour and museum. Join your fellow AZAALAS members, family and friends to enjoy some food and get a chance to meet all those folks you email and phone but rarely get to really interact with from all over the state.
Visit https://www.nps.gov/cagr/index.htm to learn more about the park.
