Our goal is to educate, mentor, and empower those individuals and families dealing with PTSD, TBI, and other disabilities. Our friends we at Horses Heroes and Hope thank you in advance for helping us to achieve their mission to help those who have and are giving their all for us - Veterans, Active Military, First Responders and their families.
Programs include:
Traditional Equine-Assisted Therapy and Learning - This program involves the use of the horse as a model in assisting with healing and personal growth. It focuses primarily on groundwork in an arena or round pen setting.
Backcountry Riding - This program is centered around experiential therapy, involving instruction in riding and horsemanship skills to prepare for and participate in backcountry riding activities.
Ranch Skills and Practices - This program includes instruction in fundamental horsemanship and ranch work skills. It is geared toward preparing participants to assist as ranch hands for our partnering ranches. Additionally, it provides essential training for advancement into ranching occupations.
Please help Arizona AALAS support our heroes and families by donating an item or buying tickets. All proceeds from our northern members sales go to the Horses Heroes and Hope.

Who was Louise Brooks?
Louise was a founding member of the Arizona AALAS branch and received both the Technician of the Year & Member of the Year awards for her dedication.
Louise loved children and came up with the idea of a annual charity raffle with proceeds going for toys and games for sick children at the Arizona Cancer Center. The raffle was named for her after her untimely death in 1996.
The Arizona branch still carries on the raffle in her honor and has since expanded to benefit 3 worthy regional charities.
