Registration is now open for the 2023 Zebrafish Husbandry Education Short Course taking place July 16th -20th at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. This course offers four full days of education in Zebrafish Husbandry. This course is limited to 24 participants to assure each participant receives maximal hands-on time and time with instructors.
Sessions include: Spawning and Larviculture (3 sessions including cryopreservation and IVF); Water Quality 1 & 2; Live Feeds production and Nutrition; Cleaning and Disinfection; Anesthesia and Euthanasia; Occupational Health and Safety; Health Monitoring; Vendor Presentations; and Hands on components include: Setting up Spawns; Harvesting Embryos; Gamete collection; IVF; Cryopreservation of sperm; Harvesting live feeds; Necropsies; Measuring Water Quality; and, Anesthetizing fish
